Libby (13) and I had a fabulous week at the villa. Perfect weather, stunning villa and stunning views. I agree with many of the recommendations already made: order the day before at the bakery, enjoy exploring the city, relax on Bodri beach and generally relax! The food at Hotel La Santa (and the view) is the best we've had all week. The Fango rock pools are a bit far (1h15min) but they are well worth it.

We had a fabulous holiday at U Piazzale. The villa is stunning and is in a fabulous location. Views to die for and plenty of space for us to relax. There is a wonderful bakery two minutes away and lovely restaurants to walk to in the evening. We spent our days on beautiful beaches, swimming in rock pools, visiting stunning mountain villages or just relaxing in the pool. The villa is a perfect place to relax and do as much or as little as you want.

The island is extremely beautiful, but so is the villa. The holidays were fantastic as we could do whatever we wanted and most of all we liked to do nothing but lazy days and occasional visits to the coast or fabulous mountain restaurants. The main purpose of our holiday is really to sit back and recharge the batteries, so if that's your thing I can't recommend this villa enough. Maybe two weeks next year!

The village of Santa Reparata has two small restaurants as well as a hotel-restaurant during the summer months, a bakery, a grocery store and a butcher.
U Piazzale is only five kilometers from the town center and the sandy beaches of Ile Rousse, and three kilometers from Monticello, with its famous gourmet restaurant. Follow your curiosity and wander into the remotest corners where time has eroded some of the ancient buildings and swifts swoop and chatter. From here you can take the hiking trails that lead to Pigna or climb to the top of the hill of Sant'Antonino, which dates from the 10th century. Both are on the Route des Artisans, with its arts and crafts workshops and range of local produce to sample and take home. For wine lovers, there are also two vineyards within 20km of the villa, as well as the popular Wine Route, which passes through the very fashionable Lumio, a picturesque village with nearby sandy beaches and impressive views of the Gulf of Calvi. The nearest gourmet restaurant is in Salti in Regino, about XNUMX minutes away by car and next to a nine-hole golf course.
In July you will also have the pleasure of taking part in Festivoce, Pigna's international music festival, which offers a full program of events, including concerts and performances in the streets, baroque churches, chapels and squares, the all within a 15 minute drive.
